PCIJ Board of Editors

The Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) operates under the guidance of its Board of Editors, a body composed of seasoned journalists and media practitioners who safeguard the organization’s mission and values. The Board provides broad strategic and operational direction to the Executive Director and the rest of PCIJ’s staff, ensuring that the organization remains true to its commitment to independent, ethical, and impactful investigative reporting.

In line with PCIJ’s ongoing strategic reset, the Board of Editors plays a more engaged role in shaping reforms and strengthening institutional practices. Working closely with the staff, the Board helps steer organizational priorities, reinforce accountability mechanisms, and foster innovation in journalism.

PCIJ Staff

PCIJ’s day-to-day operations are carried out by its dedicated staff, who serve as the backbone of the organization. The team ensures that every activity, project, and initiative aligns with PCIJ’s mission and long-term goals, while maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity.

Beyond managing routine functions, the staff actively monitors emerging developments in the media landscape and the broader Philippine society. They identify challenges and opportunities that PCIJ can address in line with its strategy, ensuring that the organization remains responsive, relevant, and forward-looking. This commitment to vigilance and adaptability allows PCIJ to continuously strengthen its role as the oldest nonprofit investigative reporting center in Asia.
