There are 65.7 million adult Filipinos registered to vote and decide on May 9, 2022 over 18,000 national and local positions up for grabs, based on data from the Commission on Elections. 

Voters are concentrated in the regions of Calabarzon (9,193,096 voters), Central Luzon (7,289,791 voters), Central Visayas (5,249,066 voters), Western Visayas (5,026,482 voters) and Bicol region (3,910,261 voters).

Meanwhile, the 10 biggest voting provinces are Cebu, Cavite, Pangasinan, Laguna, Bulacan, Negros Occidental, Batangas, Iloilo, Rizal, and Pampanga.

There are 10 candidates running for president and nine for vice president. There are 64 candidates running for 12 seats in the Senate and 173 party-list groups running for 63 seats in the House of Representatives.

In the local elections, 253 district representatives, 81 governors, 81 vice governors, 782 provincial board members, 146 city mayors, 146 city vice mayors, 1,650 city councilors, 1,488 municipal mayors, 1,488 municipal vice mayors and 11,908 municipal councilors will also be elected.

Elections for the parliament of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao was postponed to May 2025.

Voter turnout in the previous 2016 elections was 75.90%.
