IT was so far the biggest mass action against Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo since the national broadband network (NBN) scandal erupted. Yesterday, ralliers estimated between 15,000 and 85,000 gathered along Ayala and Paseo de Roxas Avenues in Makati City in protest of her “corrupt regime.”

The interfaith rally was marked with speeches, prayer, poetry, and cultural presentations of various groups all calling for Arroyo’s resignation.

The crowd roared and cheered when Rodolfo Noel ‘Jun’ Lozada Jr. took the stage together with his usual army of nuns in white and grey cloaks. Lozada urged the people to continue the fight for truth and justice for “love for our fellowmen who are victimized by corruption.”

The star witness in the Senate’s investigation on the NBN deal said “he is not the protector of truth, rather the truth is his protector.”

The Palace, however, criticized Lozada for “maliciously misleading” the public. During his short speech, Lozada said the government borrowed a total of $1.8 billion last year.

“What was found out was the NBN-ZTE deal which was only $329 million,” Lozada said. “After tonight, ask the Arroyo government what happened to the $1.47 billion you did not see.”

Deputy Spokesperson Anthony Golez said they have records to prove that the money went to Arroyo’s anti-poverty projects.

When Lozada asked if the crowd believes the president and the First Gentleman are directly involved in the multimillion Chinese deal, the ralliers cried, “Yes!”

Former Presidents Corazon Aquino and Joseph Estrada were also warmly received by the protesters. Estrada, who was all too pleased with “Erap pa rin!” hurrahs, even lightheartedly quipped that he was an “understaying president” while Arroyo is “overstaying.”

Bro. Eddie Villanueva of the Jesus Is Lord Movement also called on the president to step down and not wait for “divine intervention” to usher her ouster.

Bishop Teodoro Bacani likewise urged Arroyo to come out with the truth. “It’s simple: she only needs to tell (former socioeconomic and planning secretary Romulo) Neri, ‘I ask you, tell the truth.’ One sentence from (Arroyo) and we will know the truth.”

Activists said yesterday’s “Mass for Truth” sparked the beginning of more mass actions to come until Arroyo steps down.

Exiled Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Maria Sison also said that the magnitude of the protest actions yesterday signaled the end of the Arroyo government.

“The fake president and her regime of bureaucratic sycophants and military bully boys should be able to read the writing on the wall. They have been weighed and grievously found wanting,” Sison said. “Their days are numbered. Their doom is in the horizon.”

My Dear Fellowmen,

I wrote on February 18, 2008, 9:13 pm under “More Scene from Makati Protest Rally – 2”: “FYI, the Philippines was prophesied to fall to the communists. The Philippines will be occupied by the Chinese just like in World War II when the Japanese occupied the country. And did you know that World War III will start from the Philippines, I believe very soon?”

He told us that World War III will start at Spratly Islands. This was more than a decade ago. What do we have now? Spratly deal tied to the loans that the Chinese government extended to the Philippines. So the fulfillment of the prophecy is nearing. Change now while there is still time. Change our wrong beliefs. Change our wrong and evil ways and come back to God.

You are an alarmist. But here is my post on Bishops’ Rescue on GMA. Not necessarily parallel to your concern, but has similarities on our belief in the Supreme Being.

The human eye sees only what is wishes to see! (Da Vince Code). PCIJ or its bloggers wanted very much to see the Catholic Bishop Conference throw its support behind the move to oust GMA from power. It is convenient for PCIJ/bloggers to denounce the bishops’ group for undermining the principle of “separation of church and state”, when it did not do so, but there is no likelihood that the issue could have been relevantly raised had the bishops’ group supported the move to oust GMA.

Similar to the position that the wiretaps on Lozada and his cohorts violated one’s right to expectation of privacy, but the wiretaps on Garci and GMA were proofs of election fraud and therefore the constitutional objection was never present.

Bloggers from this site are aghast to find that a prism disperses so many colors but in a situation where there is only two colors, they are more discomforted that others see the other color and not their favorite color.

In America, it is only the ACLU who loudly talks about separation of Church and State. Most Americans are quite happy that their currency has a phrase “In God We Trust” , the preamble contains, “Under God” and the Washington Memorial has in its zenith the phrase Laus Deo (Praise be to God).

Pierre Charles l’Enfant the designer of the Washington Memorial had imposed a perfect cross on the Capital of America (Washington DC) with the White House to the north, the Jefferson Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east and the Lincoln Memorial to the west, and the Washington Memorial at the Center.

Maybe America is a strong nation because she believes in a power greater than hers.

My Dear Fellowmen,

This interfaith rally signifies that the Filipino people are now aware of the massive corruption, election fraud and cheating, lies, political killings, and many more of the present Government. Only true faith, love, and determination for the country to restore true democracy and good governance. We do not know yet who really are true to themselves…the people or the Government…if the people…then they will shed a lot of tears…if the Government…then they should sacrifice their personal interest and open all their shortcomings to the people.

My Dear Fellowmen,

How would you feel if it is found out that the potentially oil-and-gas-rich Spratly Islands (petroleum reserve estimated to be larger than the present reserve of Kuwait) were handed to the Chinese in exchange for loans with scandalous anomalies extended by the Chinese government to the Arroyo government? The Spratly Islands lie west of Palawan on the South China Sea. They are claimed wholly by China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, and partly by Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines. The Philippines has the most valid claim among the claimants according to the 1982 United Nations Convention on Law of the Sea regarding the 200 nautical miles Exclusive Economic Zone.

Before, it was only the NBN-ZTE scandal. Now, there is even mention of the secret Spratly Deal. Remember, World War III will start at the Spratly Islands as the Holy Spirit prophesied years ago.

Did you know that the vital Panama Canal is now controlled and operated by the Chinese? When the lease of the United States on the Canal expired on 1999 December 31, the next day, the Chinese took over. How do you think were the Chinese able to secure the deal?
