The PCIJ is now accepting applications for its 2013 Summer Internship Program.

The program is open to Filipino college students. Mass Communication, Communication Arts, Social Sciences, and Economics majors are welcome to apply. PCIJ interns should be able to commit to a minimum of 200 hours for the summer.

Applications will be accepted until the first week of April, but slots will be filled on a first–come, first–served basis. The Program will commence 3rd week of April.

PCIJ interns are given the opportunity to work on research and multimedia projects under PCIJ’s program desks; cover events and do feedback sessions with PCIJ staff; and participate in pocket lectures on various topics such as Investigative Journalism, Data Journalism, Mobile Journalism, the Paper Trail, etc.

Applicants are required to accomplish and send to PCIJ an application packet consisting of the following:

  1. Application form – describes the applicant’s personal profile and academic background.
  2. Statement of purpose – describes the student’s motivation for applying to PCIJ’s internship program, goals and expectations of the program, and preferred desk
    assignment based on skills and interest. A guide in writing the statement of purpose will be sent to applicants.
