4 Bicol provinces in ‘10 worst in governance’ list
And yet their governors get re-elected

LEGAZPI CITY — The National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), the government arm that measures economic, administrative and demographical perform-ances, has listed four provinces in Bicol as among the 10 worst in governance in 2005.

The NSCB’s 2005 survey, conducted in collaboration with the Human Development Network, measured the good governance index (GGI) of 79 provinces all over the country which includes aspects of economic, political and administrative governance.

Virac, Catanduanes – Dapat umanong busisiin hindi lamang ng mga kagawad ng media kundi lalo na ng mga botante ang komprehensibong plataporma ng mga kumakandidato upang matugunan ang pandaigdigang adhikain na nakapaloob sa Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Ito ang isiniwalat ng mga tagapagsalita sa idinaos na pagtitipon ng mga mamamahayag sa Bicol Region noong Enero 14 – 17 sa Hotel Venezia, Legazpi City na pinangunahan ng Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) sa pamumuno ni PCIJ Co-Founder at Executive Director Ms. Malou Mangahas.
