THE tsunami-like surge in bandwidth usage due to the unprecedented download requests for the controversial tapes has already forced the shutdown of one of our servers and those of the mirror sites that have been generously shared to us. However, thanks again to some of our fellow bloggers’ initiatives, the files can still be downloaded via the following links:

There is good strategy and tactics to be learned from the Watergate scandal that brought down Richard M. Nixon in 1974.

What brought him down was not the petty break-in by the Watergate burglars, but the COVER-UP that an increasingly paranoid and isolated Nixon launched to save his sinking Presidency.

In the series of defensive moves that Malacanang has made this past week, one sees the makings of a massive OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE case building against the following individuals:

(0) Sec. Raul Gonzales
(1) Sec. Toting Bunye
(2) Sec. Eduardo Ermita
(3) Sec. Mike Defensor
(4) NTC Commissioner Roland Solis
(5) NBI Director Wycoco
(6) the ISAFP
(7) the PNP

for various Orwellian moves, dereliction of duty, false claims, bald lies, intentional misdirections, and other Machiavellian schemes that in the end, can add up to prosecutable acts, especially if done in conspiracy . These people do not have a right to protection under the freedom of expression clause of the Constitution in their official acts and statements, which have the awesome power of the State behind them and cannot later be denied as “opinion” or “honest mistakes.”

They have been consciously misleading the public about what the Law truly demands they do, which is to discover the Truth, not to bury it. They have not been aiding justice, only obstructing it.

All these taped conversations prove that we have a fititious president just like the americans do. This also proves that the Iglesia ni Cristo Vote is not only another big myth but the Mother of all Electoral Victory Myths.

Gloria knew the INC vote to be a MYTH to begin with otherwise she won’t go through all the trouble of big time CHEATING. But Gloria, along with other cheating politicians, needs to offer a “reason” for winning to buttress the illussion of electoral victory.

The myth of the “Iglesia ni Cristo Vote”, however, is one myth that is within the politicians’ interest to perpetuate. Number one in this category is Manalo’s co-inventor of the myth, non other than the late Manuel L Quezon.

I hope MLQ3 is not proud of this “legacy”… especially if he plans to enter the political scene in the future.

There is a grand conspiracy to steal the presidency and Manalo is inextricably part of it.

June 15th, 2005 at 12:39 pm

In contrast, the late Diosdado Macapagal, for all his human failings, had so much more political and moral credibility than his daughter. One legacy of that presidency is the fact that he refused INC’s preferred support during his runs for Vice President in 1957, and re-election for President in 1965–in which he incidentally lost to Marcos, who in turn won purportedly because of the support of INC and Manalo.

Did they not also support Erap, that presumed lord of all Juetemg lords? And look what happened to the country because of that. Then they chose Gloria, that presumed Queen of Cheating, and look what is happening to the country now! Marcos, Erap & Gloria. Three political quagmires in a row, all with the blessing of Manalo.

From now on Manalo’s endorsement of a presidential candidate should be seen as one big OMEN for the rest of the non-INC Filipinos. Indeed, how could something “holy” come out of stealing your church members their right of suffrage?

i think theres something to it when your father is an ex prez of a nation and u became a prez too later on…i thought bush jr is a dumb prez–this one is dumber!

June 15th, 2005 at 5:36 pm

Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Vote is indeed a MYTH. I don’t believe that they can make or break the winability of a candidate. If that’s true, how come the INCs never fielded their own candidate for national post such as in the senate VP or Pres??! Its because they knew it will never win.

What I heard from an insider is that they overstate their list of members from local to national level and then they will present these list to a (highest bidder?) candidate/politician who could promise them favors, position and influence if they will in the election.

No wonder why Wycoco still at the NBI. He’s an INC (that’s what I heard). He’s an outsider, who’s not even a law graduate, now a Director of NBI (and owner of a big mansion somewhere in Nueva Ecija?). Unlike a few years NBI is regarded as an elite agency and highly respected. (Unlike the times of Fred Lim, Epi Velasco, etc)

About former president Diosdado Macapagal. I remeber he was once referred to as “Cong. Dado” or “the Poor Boy from Lubao” (Pampanga) when he was still congressman then. How come the family of such poor boy become suddenly so rich now. Look at her unica hija Gloria, nakapag-aral sa Georgetown sa tate, kumpleto pa ng doctorate. Can we refer GMA the “poor girl from Lubao”, di yata bagay, baka tarayan pa tayo kung tatawagin natin sya ng ganun! Donya Lualhati or Donya Gloria yata ang preferred nya.

if i were in dinky’s position, and if i believe that the persons in the CD are the real ones in person, and if i also knew that what was talked about in the CD really happened (which really happened anyway as dinky i think may have been aware of, or suspected of – if ever she suspected), maybe, i would leave my position serving a “false president”

found this site only today, hope am not too late to give my views. thanks to PCIJ for this patriotic project. Everytime I read Manila newspapers, I get the feeling that since GMA assumption to office all her cabinet members and subofficials do nothing but support any of her acts to perpetuate herself in power.

Key people in her bureaucracy and thatinet includes the judiciary and Congress travel the road most travelled – to support and protect G.ARROYO and her family — while violate existing laws for personal gain.

Many cabinet members –BUNYE is the prime example– worked 20 hours everyday, is giving his sweat blood and tears– not in service of the people who pays his salary but to serve and protect G.ARROYO.

Generals are using their soldiers to serve and protect the personnas talking in the tape. Any ideas on how to have a clean armed forces after a change of administration? Comments are welcome from civilians and military alike?

It shall be unlawful for any person, not being authorized by all the parties to any private communication or spoken word, to tap any wire or cable, or by using any other device or arrangement, to secretly overhear, intercept, or record such communication or spoken word by using a device commonly known as a dictaphone or dictagraph or dectaphone or walkie-talkie or tape recorder, or however otherwise described:

It shall also be unlawful for any person, be he a participant or not in the act or acts penalized in the next preceding sentence, to knowingly possess any tape record, wire record, disc record, or any other such record, or copies thereof, of any communication or spoken word secured either before or after the effective date of this Act in the manner prohibited by this law; or to replay the same for any other person or persons; or to communicate the contents thereof, either verbally or in writing, or to furnish transcriptions thereof, whether complete or partial, to any other person: Provided, That the use of such record or any copies thereof as evidence in any civil, criminal investigation or trial of offenses mentioned in section 3 hereof, shall not be covered by this prohibition.

Let all those who mimics the president deny that its not their voices on the tape and it would point only to one person, GMA.

June 16th, 2005 at 10:46 am

Actually right now we’re not even sure if the tape is wiretapped or not since nobody yet is admitting that they are the voices of that tape. Only when the president and Garcilliano admit will we consider it wiretapped. So I believe technically there’s no wiretapping crime yet.

June 16th, 2005 at 10:50 am

Probably, you will never understand why we choose to unite during elections. We are not forced to vote a particular candidate.. Wala namang makakakita samin kung ibang kandidato iboto namin e. Di naman nila kami binabantayan. We choose to follow.. and we are united. Like I said, that is something, I think, you will never get to understand.

June 16th, 2005 at 11:48 am

kung mag-resign si gma, the constitution provides that she be succeeded by the veep. sorry na lang tayo si noli yun. but if we want to follow the law, there’s no way out of that. yet. unless loren’s electoral protest succeeds then she becomes president.

we put the constitution there, let’s follow it. for the moment there is not wrongdoing that would disqualify noli. we will watch him like a hawk and see if he favors his amo, the lopezes. matakot siya at kung gawin niya yun and we have proof then we can boot him out via impeachment or if he prefers, he can resign. etc.

the point is there is a system in place that we agreed to and we should follow it.

June 16th, 2005 at 12:31 pm

Please enlighten me then, ka Darren, please. Is it true that you can get excommunicated (tiwalag) if you are caught to have not voted the candidate your church endorsed? If, and only if, this is true, then this is equivalent to indirect coercion.

OR since you may have voluntarily believed your church’s doctrines on the matter, it is equivalent to surrendering your right of suffrage. And this is the very reason na dangerous to democracy ang practice na yan. Now will that still be democracy?

And in my humble opinion in this democratic country, dawit dyan si Manalo indirectly, dahil pinoproject ng church nyo na pwedeng makapagpanalo ang bloc voting nyo. Nagiging kasangkot sya, wittingly or unwittingly I don’t know, sa pag kokondisyon sa isip ng mga tao na kaya nanalo si ganito eh dahil suportado yan ng INC. Nagkakaroon ng “reason to believe” na credible ang panalo, when in fact nandaya. There’s no need to convince the freethingking Filipinos in this country na merong dayaan sa eleksyon, lalo na last presidential elections. Their experience tells them so. Proof na lang ang kailangan.

Think about this. Sambayanan?

Kapag napatunayan sa Wiretapgate investigation na nandaya si Gloria, that should be the end of the argument. Dapat magkaroon ng massive electoral reform and I hope makiki cooperate and INC rito, afterall, isang bansa lang ito.

Kung ano man ang doctrinal issues nyo inside your church about this thing is really your internal concern. It’s your religious right and no one is questioning that.

June 16th, 2005 at 2:56 pm

“walang basis yung sinasabi mo na “united” kayo pagdating sa botohan” – Believe it or not, solid ang boto ng INC. Kaya nga significant yung boto ng INC pagdating sa results e. Ganito na lang.. mas importante samin na nagkaisa kami kesa sa kung sino yung binoto namin. I know that would sound like – wala kaming pakialam sa bansa natin.

I would really like to answer your questions journeyist but pero wag na siguro dito kasi lalo lang akong mao-off topic. Sorry for going off-topic in the first place. This will be the last one. ^_^

let us focust on only one issue here. this is not about wiretapping, this is not about religious vote, this is not about opposition or destabilization. it is only on whether its true that gma talk to garci about protecting her vote as you can hear from one of the conversation they have during election period. the tape whether illegaly aquirred or not is one good damn piece of evidence that can not be accepted in any court of law because of technicality can be used as a basis if gma is really doing dirty tricks her administration can think of just to remain in power. our future is now at stake here fellow filipinos. if this administration can make us believed and brainwashed some of us to forget numerous anomaly happened and recorded in the past 4 years of gma’s rule, this time we will not allow them to do it again. not this time, no more….. just only think of our country’s future under gma’s leadership. i don’t see any lights at the end of the tunnel. its all black and let us not allow this for the next 5 years. let us not include the oppositions in our struggle so that they will not branded us all as opposition attack dogs. let us all be apolitical, set aside group or religious affiliations. let us not claim side with any of them. they already served their time and they did nothing to improve our lives and our country but instead bring us down to our knees. let us just think of our country and our future. let us all be patriotic, proud and honest with ourselves. let us join hand and show our numbers on the street to demand the removal of all elected officials and start from the beginning.

June 16th, 2005 at 9:32 pm

1. It wasn’t the President that cheated, it was the Comelec and how do we know that the opposotion DID NOT also TRY to BID for the seats they got? Perhaps they lost the bid— the Comelex is just like EBAY — let’s be fair and give it to the highest bidder.
2. Who? duh? Noli de Castro???? I KNOW he’s so vain (aside from being kinda dumb) that he sat on telepgone directories just to look taller on TV when he was reading the news during the old days. He even cheats on he’s height.
3. I love GMA. Maybe it was a private auction at the COMELEC and she won, so what’s all the buzz about? I would do and so would YOU too if you wanted anything to “bid on” like the presidency.
4. We do not need another people power. We need EBAY and then just get all those who want to succeed her LISTED as PRESIDENTIAL WANNA BE and let us ALL bid !
5Better still – let’s LIST the whole country at ebay then put the reserved price we want so that Bush or Nlair can HONESTLY buy us at the PRICE WE WANT.

June 17th, 2005 at 8:47 am

1. Its was GMA and Comelec who cheated. Yong accusation mo na ang opposition also cheats, pananaw mo lang yon..walang basis, yong kay GMA, in admit na ni Bunye and even you, admitted it.

2 . Noli so called ” cheatting” on his appearance on TV has nothing to do with his political life. Hello? ganyan ba kababaw ang utak mo. If you consider that cheating, ALL of us are cheaters. WHY? we all put perfumes, does it mean we cheat on our smell? Women put make up, do they cheat on their appearance?

3. If you feel like running for a position is bidding for Comelec to win, ikaw na lang, wag mo idamay sa iba. Ndi ako pinalaki ng ganon. IF ever i run for a government position, I let the people decide for my win, not the Comelec, besides, thats the essence of democracy.

June 17th, 2005 at 9:14 am

I have to agree.

Cheating, in the context of elections, happens when there are RULES violated. In the field of TV News Anchoring, there is no Rule against using a telephone directory to “improve” one’s height; so its not “cheating” in the same moral dimension as cheating in elections.

If all candidates cheated, it would only depict the despicable nature of our elections and our politics and our politicians and most of all, the Comelec. But even that cannot be used as an excuse to allow a victorious cheater to enjoy public office especially when he is caught red handed. Kapag kinunsinti natin, it would be equivalent to saying “may the best cheaters win”.

The issue is not whether all candidates cheated. The issue is whether this alleged winner in the Presidential elections really won via the people’s majority vote.

June 17th, 2005 at 9:52 am

To All,

Diddn’t it occur to you that even if there is no expert who will listen to the Garci-Gloria tapes, God provided us with divine instruments which have been there since Adam and Eve to render fair judgement on thiese tapes. Yes, we don’t need NBI, FBI, KGB, Scotland Yard, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Interpol and all these so-called elite intelligence agencies. All we need are: Our EARS, BRAIN and JUDGEMENT.

All those were provided by God, therefore supposed to be unadulterated if used with the best of intentions. The reason why the Administration wants technical research is they are buying time and hoping that supporters will rally behind Gloria and praying hard that somewhere in the world, an agency will come out and say: “The tapes were tampered with”. But they will fail miserably because behind everything that is happening now is the hand of God and god never lies.

So, to Gloria and the rest of the Administgration: Please lang, spare the Filipinos another expensive exercise (voice analysis by international bodies, Congressional debates, military preparations and mobilization, hakot crowds to beef up support, etc.) which we know naman will not amount to anything since the issue has a clear ending: GLORIA WILL STEP OUT. As to the exact method of leaving the Palace, I honestly don’t know. That’s her own choice.

We need not question each others findings that the Garci-Gloria voices are authentic kasi alam naman natin deep in ouir hearts sila yun dahil nga impeccable ang mga faculties (hearing, thinking and reasoning) na ibinigay ng Diyos sa atin para malaman natin ang katotohanan as I stated above.

Inspite of what Gloria has done, I like her. I really like her. To step down.

g3 (Galit kay Garci-Gloria!)

Ivan D Great,

You are thinking like the unlamented people in this present Admistration who have no regard for the Constitution. If Gloria steps down, the next in line will be Noli de Castro, whether we like it or not because that’s what the law says in terms of presidential succession.

The only exception, perhaps, is if a revolution succeeds and the entire government dismantled and replaced by a transition government. But unless that happens, Noli de Castro will succeed The Glori.

June 17th, 2005 at 10:33 am

At siyempre, nagwagi sila.

June 17th, 2005 at 11:33 am

so what’s the best option now for the filipinos? gloria to step out, noli to succeed or snap election? and who are the candidates? ‘suma total’ wala rin, dahil kahit sino ang nasa pwesto meron pa ring hindi kuntento. the politicians are all the same in terms of breed and interest, lahat pang-masa in guise of self interest. weather-weather lang

jjc1384, if you are looking for Ong’s “mother-of-all-tapes,” it’s the three-hour-long recording whose download links are provided in this post. Do check again. Another download option are the 33 files in this post.

just two things at the moment:

one- losers in the last 2004 elections who were mentioned in the tapes which are time-specific, place specific, and names-specific should consider possibility of filing election protests, revived the protests if they have already done so, especially for the higher positions like the senate and lower house, gubernatorial posts.

for example. Ex-Senator Barbers may file a (or revived his ) protest to establish his win or clear his name. Opposition senatorial candidates must do so for future elections sake.

two: it’s simplistic to say and stress that elections can be won by the highest bidder. comparing the COMELEC to eBay is a gross insult to the people of eBay, they may be sales people but they are not beholden to the powers that be or influentials. There is no comparison in terms of the quality of intellect and presence of integrity of people who manage and work in these organizations. It can only be perceived which one is damaged and dirtied.

Would the president be compelled to divulge her side of the story if a signature campaign is made?

Just a thought…

Ey Alecks Pabico, is the Pagia and Ong’s tapes similar or the same? What are the differences? thanks…

The reason why our country has brazen politicians doing their dirty works right in front of our face is because our politicians know that we are pushovers. Had we hanged every corrupt politician in every people power revolt that has occurred (like what they do in France), we wouldn’t be having this problem now. There should be a strong an absolute execution of justice for the crimes committed by our politicians and government officials.

To be taken seriously, the Filipinos must act serious. There should be no doubt in anyone who would take the road to public service, be honest or suffer the unwavering hand of the people’s justice.

If we don’t wake up and take-up this duty, our country will go to the dogs. Most, if not all, politicians and government employee will rob this country to the ground. And when we reach the threshold wherein we are so poor that civil war breaks out, these thieves would be living in some 1st world country, leaving the Filipinos to kill each other (which has already started, if you don’t notice, with the continuous increase of crime in our country).

Lam mo pare…….ganito lang yan……bago kasi mag-react, unahin mo muna yung mismong religion mo, eh mas masahol pa yan kay PGMA…

to ebyako and journeyist. Cmon guys, lets not point fingers to religion. Lets just be equal here. We all have our opinions aswell. If you want to know? Alot of Non-INC and INCS are not against and against. You will be surprised. It doesent meant that INC endorsed GMA that this will mean that they are on for it 100%. Are you kidding? Theyre entitled to opinion. And belive me to a cup of joe that they are alot of people from locals around the Phil who are against the GMA administration. Iam not from INC but i know some people who are definitly against GMA and for some reason, Bong R. Well, thats a diffrent story now. Iam not siding with no one. Lets just respect each other. We are entitled to opinions. After all, democracy is free.. right? And about religions. I dont count it as that way. I dont stock on religion, the most important is, its GOD! ^_^ Godbless and takecare everyone!

June 18th, 2005 at 2:42 pm

I am watching you guys from abroad.
Politics and religion is one of the major causes of divisiveness among our people.
Let us not talk about political and religious affiliations this time. Let us be united in bringing back our country to its feet. This we will not achieve if we keep on fighting with each other, taking sides with opposite groups, defending each religion and pushing for different agenda.
Let us focus only on one issue here and that is how to cleanse our country with evils and imbeciles and to start from the beginning.
We have to do this now and not tomorrow because our country’s future depends on how we do our part today, on how we shape our country and how we stand-up to the chalenges of today.
Let us all be patriotic, honest, dedicated and focused on our goal for our country’s sake and for our children’s future.

June 18th, 2005 at 4:00 pm

Very well said Juanday! ^_^ Godbless and takecare!

June 18th, 2005 at 5:39 pm

I agree with juanday said. But the question is, who will step up to clean the dirty politics? As of now, anyone wishes to step up and stand are already branded as greed, ambitious etc. even before he/she speaks. No person (who is ideal) would like to be called as such. Only those who wishes power and position are not bothered to be called as such.

This cycle of dirty politics will stay forever unless someone who is brave enough address the mother of all problem, which is corruption. We all know that corruption is the root of all evil here in our country. Without corruption, our country will prosper. We need someone who really is against corruption. Someone who is brave and bold enough to prosecutes ‘anyone’ who are caught doing illegal acts. Someone who doesn’t need to tell him what to do or say next. Someone who can stand on his own (or independent basta hindi balimbing). Someone who did a great job as a public servant. In my opinion, these should be the qualifications of a good leader of our country.

i think there are still many people who haven’t heard the tape/conversations.
most people only connected to the internet have heard the tapes and millions of unconnected ones havent heard it.

that is why a sedition/wire-tapping case is being hurled to anyone to scare the people.

And that is why there are parties who are giving CD’s of the tapes so that more people can hear it.

So how can we help in distributing those conversation. Radio/TV aren’t airing it i think.

to eboyako,

I respect your views and I respect your religious beliefs but I’m sorry that my post offended you, it was not intended to. I have some friends who are INC, and I must say they are some of the most helpful people in my personal circle of friends, despite them knowing my religious affiliation. We just agreed not to talk about religion and leave the job of debating to our religious leaders.

Darren and I even agreed to discontinue discussing religion here, for which we both complied, for the reason that it is off-topic. Now that you resurrected my otherwise forgotten post, I have no choice but to respond. I hope this is the last time I will have to.

I have nothing personal against INC neither do I have anything personal against INC members. As eboyako said and I agree, we have both our democratic rights here. And that right includes Religious Freedom.

What I’ve said, however, is my personal political opinion. And my comments are exclusively mine just as my choice of religious affiliation is exclusively mine.

Having said this, I still do not blame you for reacting as you did. In fact I even admire you for doing so in protest since, as you said, you too have democratic rights and therefore hindi ka makatiis na hindi ako sagutin, and that’s the practice of democratic rights in action.

At least on the issue of democratic rights, magkakampi tayo, so we can begin to understand each other based on this.

Maybe this GMA government could learn a thing or two from eboyako, especially its agency the MTRCB, (which is directly under the Office of the President). If only this MTRCB could learn to respect other people’s democratic rights, just like you do, then maybe we won’t even be discussing religion here.

Why the MTRCB is banning our church leaders from appearing on TV while at the same time respect the religious and democratic rights of INC ministers to attack us on TV, I don’t know.

Unlike eboyako, the MTRCB do not know the meaning of democratic rights.

And this my dear eboyako, Is where I am coming from. This government of GMA, whom you said “cheated”, denied us, and continues to deny us, of our group’s religious freedom to propagate our faith on TV, which is accorded to all other religious denominations.

My hope, eboyako, is that on this specific issue of democratic rights, magkakampi pa rin tayo.

Again, I’m sorry if you don’t like what I’ve posted. Maybe I was just desperate to air my honest opinion here since we are being banned by this government from airing our religious beliefs on TV. In the future, should there be a government that will trample on INC’s religious and democtratic rights of free expression, kakampi mo ako pati na lahat ng ADD.

I just cannot pretend that this GMA government is just all about jueteng and election cheating. It’s also about the grand machinery behind that jueteng and election cheating.

honestly, many of us here i think are still armchair activists and revolutionaries..hehehe…and i dont believe in preserving democracy here coz in the first place-just like in the US- we really dont have a democracy here in substance in the first place. what we have here is an elite kind of democracy based on the capacity to pay.And bringing down gloria from power is not a sign things will get better, its just another confirmation sign that the present political and economic system is rotten and ineffective for a nation of 80M.but you raised a valid point–HANGGANG INTERNET AT SALITA NA LANG BA? ANO BA SILBI NG KALAYAAN SA PAGPAPAHAYAG NG DAMDAMIN KUNG WALA NAMANG AKSYON?

June 20th, 2005 at 6:24 pm

Ayoko yatang mag-isa!

June 20th, 2005 at 6:50 pm

According to Lacson, Jose Mari Gonzales & now Francisco Tatad said that the tape are authentic. But how can i believe with this people? Sumasakay na naman sila sa isyu. Pogi Points…
But personally i do believe si PGMA yung nasa tape kung hindi tampered yun. We need to know the truth but we will never find the truth hanggat pumapapel ang mga taga oposisyon dito sa issue na to.
I don’t like PGMA and i believe she is guilty of election fraud, but i don’t like more the people in the opposition cause their just thinking of their personal ambition and not for the common people.
Anyway, i believe the opposition is just doing what they need to do, OPPOSE EVERYTHING AND DOING NOTHING. Nice Job.

June 20th, 2005 at 8:19 pm

Mapa-administrasyon man o oposisyon, me kanya kanyang agendang isinusulong.

June 20th, 2005 at 9:24 pm

To long71,

Huwag ka mainip kaibigan. Nasa hatching period tayo, kumbaga.

long71, wag ka mainip. but be prepared to get disappointed pagkatapos mapatalsik si Gloria.

June 20th, 2005 at 11:23 pm

I believe one of the major factors, maybe the top reason, is that there’s no credible alternative should GMA be overthrown, that’s why the masses are hesitant to move. Changing leaders through people power, if done too often, is not also good for the image of our country, indicative of an unstable government. My wish, which would be close to a miracle, is somehow GMA becomes the reverse ego of herself. That she becomes sincere instead of plastic; that she sends to jail her husband and son (instead of coddling them and pretending that they are innocent); that she start to really care for the country instead of just her pocket, that she starts to believe in God and that she has a soul that would pay for any sins she commits instead of her hedonistic lifestyle.

There are no current alternatives to replace her, but the people can only take so much. Sooner or later, if the people doesn’t sense any concrete, tangible action, she will get ousted and go down in history to be in the league of the likes of Marcos and Estrada (what a shame, a daughter ruining the little legacy the old Macapagal has left for their name).

June 20th, 2005 at 11:40 pm

Anybody please,

I want to learn sinu-sino ba ang qualified mapasama sa tinuturing nating CIVIL SOCIETY? Maaari bang sumama diyan sina Jinggoy at Lopi Estrada or maybe even Erap himself?

Kumikislap tila kumakaway dalawang sungay
Ng humahalakhak na guardian devil.
Guardian angel, guardian devil sila lang
Ang magkaribal sa palad ni Neneng.

Si Neneng natin na ubod ng ganda
Kutis niya’y makinis, malambot na marmol.
Kinagisnan, nilakihang ugali
Hinhin at bait, mahiyain at masunurin
Hindi naging sagabal sa grano at tigidig
Tumubo at puminsala, pumintog
Nagnana sa mukhang mala-birhen..

Wala yan Neneng, sabi ni guardian devil.
Di pangit yan, masasanay ka rin diyan
Maganda ka at maalam, Cool ka lang
Uling sa mukha na me- make up- pan.
Mahal man sumingil nagkalat ang derma diyan.

Walang masabi anghel pinipi ng free will
Kahit gustong niyang isigaw: Come On !
Yang tigidig at grano di maalis yan
Una’y dapat tanggapin, meron ka niyan,
Huwag magtulog-tulogan, humarap sa katotohanan.
Tiris at antibiotics alam mong epek sandali lang
Extreme make over lang epektibong lunas diyan.

talagang decidido ipa oopera’t ipabubunkal
Ang kumakalat niyang tigidig at grano
Si Neneng mutya at diyosa ni Rizal
Dating natatanging Perlas ng Silangan
Kapit kamay tayo, paligiran si Neneng.

Inside story to the election. One thing wrong with the Philippine Constitution is the ability to have a vote on a separate President and Vice President from different political parties. Back in the election of Joseph Estrada for President, they already knew that Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as the Vice President will cause them trouble in the future… Hence Edsa II. The run up to the election was another unsavory ploy to paint FPJ as a non citizen of the Philippines. Which was again proven to be another forgery of papers to eliminate FPJ from running for President. How can the Filipinos let this sign pass when this should have been addressed when it was proven that the administration was behind this all along? During the Last Election, the Media was bought by the current administration and a Propaganda for the middle class was perpetrated showing FPJ… the so called uneducated Actor as a joke and as a quick tempered man. The media never fully showed his speeches to the masses where, everyone had a tear in their eye because of how this man, loves his country, wants to see his country prosper, wants to lift the country out of its misery. FPJ took a long time to dive into political scene because he knew how dirty politics was, after all he is one of the reasons why Erap was elected. Problem with Estrada is that he had too many moral baggages that made it a political liablity, hence he was ousted by the Edsa 2 elitist power grab. FPJ, could have rousted the publics distain and called for an Edsa 4, but he had trust in the law. He respected the law even though those who are in power who weild it used it to rob the presidency from him. What saddens me is that he is not here in this world to see and have a huge laugh at what came out of the pandora’s box. From the quick 180 of the powerful during his death in appreciating who he was all along. Talented Actor, not dumb. Succesful movie producer, not uneducated dropout, and golden hearted philantrophist and not the quick tempered man that was shown over, and over again. Now this vindication and hopefully proof that the person in power, all along is nothing but a survialist cheat, that would do anything in this world to cling herself to power. The truth is out there. Is there really a solution that can be made on who should succeed the Presidency if GMA steps down ( or unseated ). Would the Philippines be better off with Noli de Cashtro another administration cronie who will probably follow the same game plan as GMA?
Hopefully the next government if the administration does fall down would move to make sure that by voting for President you include the Vice President and not this potential for power grab system that is in place now.

Da King may be dead, but he is laughing his head out now that the truth is finally out in the open. Da King is dead, Long live Da King!!!

“Una salus victus nullam sperare salutem” -Virgil’s Aeneid [translated from latin.: The one hope of the doomed is not to hope for safety].

Do you really believe that change will just come with a wish?

Do you really believe that justice and truth will triumph without any toil, blood, sweat or tears?

Do you really think that liberty is not fought for with all the might, heart and soul one can muster?

IF you people say yes to these then we are doomed. Doomed to languish in ignominy, to bad governance, to poverty and all its economic ills.

Is that what we the Filipino people want? is that the horizon that beckons to us?

We are in one great fight to make this democracy of ours work. And it all starts with each and everyone of us.

Let us not despair as to the length of time that the evil midget is ousted from her throne. Neither the bad vibes & thought of the veep becoming president nor the stupidity of the whitewash/wag the dog tactics being use right now should hinder us in our work.

We are after all fighting for a better Philippines. We are after all fighting for a better government. We are after all fighting for a better future, for ourselves and our antecedents.

If we seek safety and comfort in the thought that someone or somebody else will be able to do something about our current situation – then we are fools. But if we stand up and be counted, to seize the day and risk everything for what we see as a better Philippines. Then there is indeed hope. We might still have that bright future our forefathers also fought and worked hard for.

Again “Una salus victus nullam sperare salutem”….. In other word – it’s time to get of your butt and kick some ass…..

Let us all UNITE to ABOLISH the COMELEC…

No More COMELEC Commissioners…

No wonder they are called Commisioners…they commissioned money based on the Winners prerogative to give Cash or Kind right?

If you take note: Senate President Franklin Drilon urges Manong Garci to resign last year… pls refer to : http://www.inq7.net/nat/2004/feb/14/nat_3-1.htm …so what happened to that move?

Hanggang salita k lang pla Sen Pimentel and Sen Drilon…Y is it that until now..they didn’t handle well such move to oust and investigate Manong Garci…

If I were to comment on that article in Inq7.net… then Abalos should also be investigated…d porke matagal na ang isang officer sa isang departamento eh we will be going to 100% trust them…

To save expenses daw…too much…

Garcillano as Comelec operations chief …ang kapal… Mr. Abalos…u better Resign too….

Garcillano was assigned to oversee the elections in the Zamboanga peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Socsargen (Regions 9, 10 and 12) were well crafted right… i think Abalos knows all of this fuzz…He is pushing before Dirty Old men who are all CORRUPT…Sir..Pls lang halata tlga yung move ninyo…to cover up this old fellows including Barcelona…

COMELEC is the grand grand grand mother of all corrupt practices in this Land…

Can i ask the help of the PCIJ to give us a brief history of COMELEC…to track the previous Commissioners…their wealth,assets..and etc…and can you guys give a list of people who are most corrupt in our land.

Comelec for me is the Registrar’s department, an entry to Corruption University…where is this University Located? of course in the Philippines..were famous graduate students like… Erap,Marcos,FVR,other noted personalities not posted here will be seen and writtem…Gloria and family will be posted soon…

I’m sure, wala.

July 2nd, 2005 at 6:21 pm

Good day! Multitudes has been clamoring the resignation of GMA and I for one would be happy if she will step down for the reason that our beloved country is suffering more because of one person. The allies of GMA are saying that there is no other alternative personnality. These people think that the rest of the eighty four million filipinos outside their league are idiots.

July 5th, 2005 at 10:51 am

Unfortunately the replacment for GMA, if the constitution is to be followed, would be worse when it comes to governance. The politcal opposition is also salavating and eager to take power, especially the Estrada gang, whom is dying to flood the our country with shabu (their staple business). Seems the current devil is appearing less evil than the alternative.

If there’s guarantee that either Legarda, Duterte, or Gordon (Dick), would be the replacment, then I support the ousting of Ganid na Glorai (GMA). Bayani for me is no good anymore as demonstrated by the way he managed MMDA (I applaud the way he was cleaning up illegal vendor, the rest are less savory).

Lacson is also no good, he just kept quiet while the Estrada family has been pouring their drugs/shabu all over the Philippines (either he has no consicence or he’s in business with them). His cowardice when Berroya challenged him during EDSA Dos, when Berroya said “Mukhang naduduwag kaya yata Ping”, shows that he is only brave when other people would do the fighting for him (He’s always been know as a coward by the people who are close to him, inner circle. Challenge him to a fight to the death for principle and he’ll finds a way to wiggle out of the challenge, no Rizal quality). This is alot scarier, cowards are the worst person lead this country. They would sell their sould just to save their own skin to get out of a bind.

We should also avoid military rule at all cost. We’ve seen what evil they are capable off during the time of Marcos. They would just masacre and terrorize the people to subjugate them, as the officers controlling the junta enrich themselves.

July 5th, 2005 at 11:25 am

to jdv_jr do you have any proofs that the estrada family is into drug dealing? and during marcos time di mo ba lam na sina enrile and fvr ang pasimuno ng mga pangaabuso kasi they’re one of the heads ng military, then nang hindi naappoint c ramos as pc chief ayun na bumaligtad na sya at nagpeople power na. i wonder who was the mastermind in ninoy’s assassination?

July 5th, 2005 at 9:10 pm

First thing first, any government official found to have violated laws of the land should be made accountable. Erap made a good example by subjecting himself to all the judicial recourse available and he is as everybody knows it is incarcerated (house arrest) while the plunder case is being heard. Now that is one good example that every leaders should emulate.

GMA is not an exception and she should made accountable and she should stop using the “Presidency” to hide and shield her illegal acts. She shouldn’t use in the pre-text of “destabilization”, “economic sabotage”, “national unity” as a tool to silence her critics. The NBI, DOJ, and BIR are few examples of her tools in reprimanding her detractors. It is scary to think that this same government agency are serving the need of a single person (The President) in the detriment of others. The President is not the “Republic of the Philippines”.

July 5th, 2005 at 9:25 pm

Can PCIJ do a presentation (time-line) events from the tape and vis-a-vis newspaper accounts/article corresponding those events. This will be easier to understand (visually) on how the discussion on the Gloria-Garci tape affect the actual events or how many of it actually made it in the print or picked up by journalist during those periods. A powerpoint presentation would be great.

look at what american democracy has made the philippines into! people power! yeah right! when did our nation’s status quo improved since people power one? in my opinion, everything started to falter there onwards. true, the marcos dictatorship isn’t the ideal government out there. but still, that’s why there is the constitution. we all have to play by certain rules to achieve our goals and motives. otherwise, life would be a disaster.

another would be religion blinding the eyes of the filipino. where in the world do you see a country’s future being decided by it’s “holy men”? at least not in the advanced nations. what had turned out of our religious system was simply a continuation of what the spaniards had left – Filipino priests acting as the new small “Vaticans” influencing philippine governance, which could be compared to Spain’s Monarchy at the time.

“we’ll never understand what those in religious groups think of?” of course we never will! why succumb to religious figures and think of pastors as next in lines to God? religion is simply there to guide the people rather than control them or influence their actions.

“there’s something much more important than our nation?” great! so now you think that there is salvation after life as long as you follow the suggestions of your religious leaders. you no longer think of practical and immediate issues, such as hunger and poverty. and of course, why would you care about this nation should there be heaven after death. Then why vote and influence the electoral process? in the end, you also affect the lives of people with beliefs much much different from yours!

now we have this issue on the wiretapping scandal and people seemed to never learn from history itself. so now we want another people power? “no problem about destabilization and poverty, after all, what we are doing is in the name of JUSTICE, DEMOCRACY, and GOD!” so now we let our pety emotions play over us again?

if one studied history, one should know that the first Filipino constitution as made by Apolinario Mabini had indicated such that only the learned people – illustrados, may have the right to vote. what happens now with our country is that many people think what they’re doing is right, even though it is not. marami sa atin ang nagmamarunong na ngayon. what happens in the end is that we are easily controlled and persuaded by charismatic figures or implusive beliefs such as politicians, religious groups, democracy, justice, freedom. we never thought deeply about the consequences of our action.

pardon me for my tone in this text. however, the crisis in the philippines is no longer limited to small issues such as wiretapping of GMA’s conversations. No matter which politician may reside in the presidency in the following years, can we learn to do things lawfully? orderly? much more important, productively? or shall we once again give in to our impulsive emotions and propagandic slogans of people power, justice, democracy and the like?

ps. i am not a gma fan, nor a fan of any political figure or group. i am a christian and believe in God. neither am i a communist. it just hurts me on how our people had been misled by such concepts regarding religion, democracy and by self-serving politicians.

July 8th, 2005 at 8:38 am

GMA’s days are numbered. If the junta pushes through, I hope that the junior officers would have the courage of putting everything in the military right. They should punish those officers who enriched themselves. They are so easy to catch because they are living well beyond their means. The revolutionary government should also go after those corrupt government personalities who enriched themselves in illegal ways. Include those who took advantage while the Marcos’s was fleeing the country (some people I know who did this was working with PAGCOR, they used to rent small apartment and after the EDSA revolution, they are living as though they have won the lottery). Take all of their assets and put it back to the national treasury.

We should watch out for Noli De Castro also, he is well known for extorting money from business group. Those who doesn’t pay up gets bombarded in his TV and Radio programs, and he only quiets down when he is paid. That’s why you would notice that an issue that he discusses passionately in his program suddenly dies out, as if an off switch has been pressed.

ABS-CBN has also been notorious for being bias in politics. They pick a politician they can use, and give that politician their full support (continuous positive media coverage). Then ask for favors when their puppet is put to power. But then again, what do you expect from them? When Cris Aquino scandalized the nation and her family, putting the country to shame to the whole world, what did ABS-CBN do? When Corina Sanchez made a scene at NBI a few years ago, did she get fired for tarnishing her reputation? What did ABS-CBN management do to Julius and Tintin Babao when they’ve had their wedding godparents take care of all of their wedding bills? Willie Revillame? Hmmm…

A lot of Filipinos are jobless, clean-up the notorious government agencies by replacing most, if not all, of the staff and officer in that office. BIR, NAPOCOR, Customs, DFA, DepEd, etc.

It’s sad to know that we used to be the 2nd most progressive country in Asia, 2nd to Japan, and now we are one of the poorest.

Our country is rich with all of the resources we need. Our people are one of the best in the world. We are incredibly rich in natural resources, our land is fertile, are sea abundant (we only need to manage them correctly). If we wisely use these resources, no Filipinos should go hungry. We would be very happy if we have our basic needs: food, water, clothing, shelter, transportation, communication, and little time for leisure.

We are at dawn of another eras of Philippine history, a new beginning… would the morning bring the future we have been aspiring for our country, or would this be another replay of the nightmare we Filipinos living through everyday.

Truth Commission is designed as a PGMA propaganda mechanism. Member of the Truth Commission body’s main job description is to orchestrate a show that will make PGMA look like a victim of black propaganda.

It’s part of the Malacanang’s PGMA image rebuilding plan. The body will be formed no matter what. This will be Malacanang’s strongest weapon in keeping PGMA in power.
