WITH METRO MANILA going underwater for the second straight day, more and more people are turning to social media to help identify people in peril and to direct resources where they are most urgently needed.

For this purpose, we are reposting the link to an online google spreadsheet that acts as a virtual People Finder. Please click here to access the spreadsheet.

If you know anyone who is in desperate need of assistance, you may post the necessary details on the spreadsheet, along with your contact numbers for verification purposes. The spreadsheet also has a priority system, where entries marked in red indicate that help is urgently needed. Entries marked in green indicate that first responders have already reached the site and have provided rescue services. This is to prevent duplication or redundancy.

As well, if you are a rescue or relief unit, you may access the spreadsheet to find out where best to deploy your resources.

However, please be reminded to post only when necessary, and only if the information has been verified or checked. With resources already spread so thinly, we cannot afford to have rescue units deploying to respond to false alarms.
