SENATOR-JUDGE Panfilo Lacson said he found it hard to believe that Chief Justice Renato Corona could make mistakes in calculating and declaring his assets and liabilities.

In voting to convict Corona, Lacson said that he did his homework over the weekend, and came up with his own figures: that Corona at one point owned $3.9 million in dollar accounts, and P91 million in peso accounts.

Corona had only acknowledged to owning P80 million in peso accounts and $2.4 million in dollar accounts that he did not declare in his statement of assets and liabilities and net worth.
