Gringo to Corona: Step down

SENATOR-JUDGE Gregorio Honasan cast a guilty vote against Chief Justice Renato Corona, saying that while the prosecution had not proven that the defendant was corrupt or malicious, Corona however was no longer fit to stay in office.

Honasan said that the public now doubts that Corona can still dispense justice, especially after the protracted impeachment trial.

Honasan said Corona was “no longer fit to preside over the highest court of the land. May duda na sa kakayahan nya.”

“I vote to ask the Chief Justice to step down so that he may once more walk among our people,” Honasan said.
